Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I was picked up in Williamston by my son, Will and his family and driven to Berlin, Maryland to have Thanksgiving with my two girls and son. All nine grandchildren were there. We came home on Saturday but at least they can say their grandad was there.
I took a pie with me that Tracey made and collards that I purchased from King Chicken in Washington because they all love collards. Ham, turkey, oysters, and string beans and deviledeggs would round it out.  Oysters on Friday and the best fried chicken you’ve ever eaten and crabs too! Straight from the Chesapeake Bay!

Friday was spent visiting with each other and watching football on the television. That is the first time I saw my children together in three years.
We use to have football games and then a bowl game at Christmas time. And the team had played football on Thanksgiving. They were good excuses to not see them. Now, that I don’t have an excuse, there was no reason not to make the trip. You get use to the excuses! Please make time to visit you family,
We have a lot to be thankful for, at least I do. Faith, family, health and friends like you!

They were the best of times with the best of friends and in the best of places, Washington, N.C. The Original Washington!
