Judith Carolyn Mayo Bryant, age 76, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Thursday February 1, 2024 at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Monday February 5, 2024 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be officiated by Pastor Darren Walker.

Mrs. Bryant was born in Beaufort County on June 6, 1947 to the late Leroy Mayo and the late Pauline Anderson Mayo. She was a 1965 graduate of Chocowinity High School. Mrs. Bryant worked as a seamstress and inspector for Sampson Shirt Factory until her retirement 30 years ago. On November 22, 1979 she married Eddie James Bryant. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Steven Kilby of Chocowinity, a sister, Tracey Mayo Jarvis and husband Kevin of Chocowinity, a brother, Roy Lavern Mayo and wife Shirley of Chocowinity, a nephew, Lee Douglas Gray, and a niece, Lauren Ann.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eddie James Bryant on March 8, 2020, and a nephew, James Michael Harris, II.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Monday February 5, 2024 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of her brother, Lavern Mayo in Chocowinity.

In lieu of flowers/ flowers are appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 901 North Bonner Street, Washington, NC 27889 or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 11796, Charlotte, NC 28220.
