Flying Pig Provisions donates to Eagles Wings

During the holiday season, Flying Pig Provisions sold specially provided t-shirts and donated half the proceeds to Eagles Wings Food Pantry. Total donation was  $1,000. Karen Hall with Southern Tea Shirts provided the shirts and Mike Renn orchestrated the project.

  • Serves Beaufort County.
  • Operates a food pantry providing food assistance to those in need.
  • Operates a South Satellite Food Pantry that serves over 160 families in the Aurora-Edward-Blounts Creek area with a mobile unit on Thursdays in three different location.
  • Operates HOMEBOUND Program that provides delivered groceries to about 80 clients who are medically not able to come to us for their food assistance.
  • Operates WiKids Pantry Program WIKIDS that provides diapers and formulas for clients with children ages from birth to 4 years old.
  • Operates Eaglet’s Backpack Program BACKPACK that provides week-end meals to over 145 students who have been identified as living in food insecure households; this program is for the academic year only.
  • Oversees the Mobile Food Pantry MOBILE FOOD PANTRY held on the 3rdSaturday of each month at two locations: Snowden School in Aurora and Haw Branch Church in Chocowinity.  This pantry is made possible through a grant from Vidant and the work of the Food Bank of the Albemarle.
