The Washington Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce (WBCCC) is teeing up for its 4th Annual Golf Tournament, set to take place at the Washington Yacht & Country Club on Friday, April 26, with a rain date scheduled for Thursday, May 9. The event, which promises competition and camaraderie, opens its registration at 8:00 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Participants will be treated to a box lunch as part of their day on the greens.

“Our annual golf tournament not only brings together the community for a day of sport and networking but also supports the ongoing efforts of the Chamber to promote and grow local businesses,” said Catherine Glover, Executive Director for WBCCC. “We’re looking forward to welcoming new and returning teams for what promises to be another fantastic event.”

Teams of four are invited to register for the tournament with an entry fee of $300 per team. Additionally, a special package deal priced at $420 includes the entry fee along with mulligans and tee busters to enhance the golfing experience. Mulligans and Tee Busters will also be available for cash purchase on the day of the event, allowing players to buy up to four mulligans for $10 each and tee busters at $20 each.

This year’s competition will see prizes awarded to the top three scores for gross, making the tournament a must-attend for golf enthusiasts looking to showcase their skills. With spaces filling up, teams are encouraged to secure their spots by the entry deadline of April 17.

“Last year’s tournament was an exceptional blend of friendly competition and community spirit,” shared Read Allen, President of Flatlands Insurance Group. “It not only allowed me to connect with fellow chamber members but also to enjoy a day of golf. It’s an event that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of our community, and my team is eager to hit the links again this year.”

Various sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses looking to gain visibility within the community. For more information on the tournament and sponsorship packages, contact Merilynn Crisp at 252-946-9168 or via email at mcrisp@wbcchamber.com.
