On April 25, 2024, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jaleza Aneice Alexander on multiple drug charges.  This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of fentanyl in the Beaufort County area and more arrests are expected.  As a result of this investigation, Deputies seized over 130 fentanyl pills.

Jaleza Aneice Alexander was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond under the following charges:

-(3) counts of Trafficking in Fentanyl

-(1) count of PWISD Schedule II (Fentanyl)

The majority of fentanyl pills that Deputies seize share a common appearance.  These dangerous pills are typically blue or green in color and have the imprint (M 30) stamped on them.  Even though these pills appear to be a legitimate prescription medication, they contain lethal fentanyl.

Deputies are committed to keeping dangerous drugs out of Beaufort County by partnering with other local, state and federal agencies in Eastern North Carolina.
