Mrs. Wanda Gail Woolard, age 51, a resident of Washington died Tuesday July 14, 2009 at the Beaufort County Medical Center.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday July 17, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by Pastor Danny Barrow. Pallbearers will be Stephen Woodward, John Cattelain, Allen Woolard, Octavus Wallace, Ted Wallace and Timmy Woolard.
Wanda Gail was born in Washington on July 19, 1957 daughter of the late William Harold Woolard, Sr. and Vernell Harris Woolard who survives. She was a 1976 graduate of Washington High School. Wanda Gail was a supervisor in the Medical Records department of Craven Correctional Institute. She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving along with Wanda Gail’s mother Vernell of Washington are a daughter: April Woolard of Washington and a brother: William H. Woolard, Jr. of Washington.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday July 16, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and at other times at the home of Wanda Gail’s daughter, April Woolard, located at 31 Canal Run, Washington, NC.
Flowers are welcome and appreciated and the family kindly asks that any memorial contributions be made to Marion L. Sheppard Cancer Center, Patient Assistance Fund, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889.
