Earl Ray Rowe

Mr. Earl Ray Rowe, age 84, (a resident of 445 Flat Swamp Rd.), of Blounts Creek, NC, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the Rowe Family Cemetery and will be conducted by the Rev. Gary Lewis. The family will receive friends at the home of Linwood Rowe, 445 Flat Swamp Road, Blounts Creek.
Mr. Rowe was born on July 15, 1928, in Beaufort County to the late Charles and Malissa Jones Rowe. He was married to Doris Jones Rowe who preceded him in death in November of 2000. He was a lifelong farmer and was well-known for raising sweet potatoes. Mr. Rowe attended New Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church in Blounts Creek.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Rowe and husband Jacky of Chocowinity, and Susan Batchelor and husband Johnie of Warner Robins, Georgia; three sons, Linwood Rowe and wife Pat of Blounts Creek, Danny Rowe and wife Rickie of Conroe, Texas, and Larry Rowe and wife Rita of Blounts Creek; one brother, Charlie Rowe of Washington; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jessie Rowe and Ab “Dick” Rowe and three sisters, Amanda Chancey, Ada Jones and Lola Galloway.
