Curtis Wayne Woolard

Mr. Curtis Wayne Woolard, age 58, a resident of Hwy 264 East, Washington, NC, died peacefully at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00am  Monday, August 13, 2012  Oakdale Cemetery officiated by Tony Krantz.
Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on September 11, 1953 to the late Whitford Curtis Woolard and Jennette Harris Woolard, who survives. He was a 1971 graduate of Bath High School. On March 9, 1974 he married the former Kaye Latham, who survives. Mr. Woolard worked as a welder at PCS Phosphate for 33 years until his health caused him to retire. Mr. Woolard was a member of the Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife; Kaye L. Woolard of the home and his mother; Jennette Harris Braswell of Washington, Mr. Woolard is survived by a daughter; Mandy Woolard Hedgepeth and special son-in-law Robbie of Washington, three sisters; Kathy Bowen and husband Frankie of Plymouth, NC, Debra Fraley and husband Mike of Chocowinity, NC, Karen Heffley and husband Kenny of Bath, NC a brother, Whitford Dale and wife Jeannie of Bath, NC, two precious granddaughters: Ava Grace Hedgepeth and Audrey Elizabeth Hedgepeth both of Washington and a mother-in-law; Annie Tetterton.
In addition to his father; Mr. Woolard is preceded in death by a stepfather; George Braswell and grandparents; Heber & Patty Plum Woolard and Grover Cleveland Harris and Florence Harris.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August, 12, 2012 from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
