Mr. James Arthur Gurganus Jr., age 71, a resident of 7810 Holly Springs Church Road, Williamston, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at home. A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Maple Grove Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday prior to the service and other times at the home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Tice Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pamlico Funeral and Cremation Service, Washington.
