Lyal Wayne Price

Lyal Wayne Price, 71, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Wayne was born April 6, 1941, in Wayne County to the late Edgar H. Price, Jr. and Florence Keel Price. Wayne was a master carpenter who took tremendous pride in his work. He enjoyed a long career in construction, retiring in 2001 as a construction superintendent with WIMCO General Contractors. He enjoyed helping friends with home improvement projects and was a member of the Shifters Car Club, Goldsboro.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, August 31, 2012, at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Mondell officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from Pineview Cemetery, Seven Springs.
Wayne is survived by his wife of twenty years, Shirley Cecil Price; five children, Lyal Wayne Price II of Myrtle Beach, Tracy Naylor and husband, Scott of Myrtle Beach, Anthony Wayne Price and wife, Jen of Goldsboro, Lori Cutler and Angela Kesler, both of Greenville; four grandchildren, Paige Naylor, Eric Naylor, Brianna Price and Brett Cutler; brother, Thurston Price and wife, Betty of Goldsboro. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie P. Dawson.
