MYRTLE BEACH, SC — David McNeil Ford, 45, husband of Barbara Steele Ford, died Friday, September 7, 2012, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 1, 1967, in Covington, VA, a son of Paul Travis, Jr. (Merlin B.) Ford, and Barbara Oliver Ford.

He was a current member of the Horry County Shrine Club. He was a past member of the Masonic Order, a past member of Omar Shrine and a past member of the local Beachcombers a unit of Omar Temple. David was very active in Shrine activities for many years until illness forced him to become inactive.

Survivors including his wife and parents are: two brothers, Paul Travis Ford, III, of Greenville, NC, and Michael Ford of Myrtle Beach, SC; one sister, Carolyn Ford-Ashley and husband, Thomas of Washington, NC; five nieces and six nephews and one great-nephew.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Socastee United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
