Mrs. Irene Spruill Simmons, 77, a resident of 2506 Holly Neck Road, Roper, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Edenton. A funeral will be held at noon Friday at Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in the Spruill family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Shiloh Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home, Plymouth.
