Mr. Leroy Jordan Sr., 85, of 301 Fischer Village Apts., Aurora, died Monday, May 28, 2007, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Saint Peter Baptist Ministries with Bishop Joseph V. Squires officiating. Burial will follow in Keystown Cemetery, Grantsboro.
Mr. Jordan was born in Pamlico County on Oct. 23, 1921. He was the son of the late David and Lillie C. Jordan. He attended the Pamlico County schools. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Saint Peter Baptist Ministries.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley O’Neal of Rosedale, N.Y., and Mary C. Parker of Grantsboro; one sister, Carrie Ganus of Arapahoe; one brother, William Jordan of Ozone Park, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Minister Leroy Jordan Jr. who died on Feb. 20, 2007.
The family will receive friends at the home of His daughter, Mary Parker, 780 Keystown Road, Grantsboro.
A walk-in viewing will be held today from 1-6 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington.
