Norma S. Lupton

Norma Spencer Lupton, 83, long time resident of Middletown in Hyde County and more recently a resident of Greensboro, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at Moses Cone Hospital Palliative Care in Greensboro.
Born August 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Earl Spencer and Lucille Cox Spencer Osborne. She was married to Dr. C. Rhodes Lupton who preceded her in death. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
The family will receive friends during a chocolate cake reception on Sunday between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Nell Cox in the Village of Middletown. Burial will be private.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue L. Dudley and husband, Bill of Climax; a son, Don Lupton of Chapel Hill; three grandchildren, Steve Dudley and wife, Becca of Greensboro, John Dudley and wife, Amy of Durham, and Laura Dudley of Climax; a great-grandchild, Greylyn Sauro.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Rachel Dudley and Aaron Dudley.
