Mr. Harry Hampton Main, age 74, a resident of 5402 Market Street Ext., Washington, NC, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at his home.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by John Gibson. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Mark Main, Harry Main, Jeff  Yelverton, Michael Sermons, Michael Mizell, Jr. and William “Bud” Sermons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Williams and Eric Main.
Mr. Main was born in St. Anthony, ID (Idaho), on September 20, 1938, son of the late Wilbert Ogal Main and the late Eloise Wallace Main. He attended Washington High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Main married the former Rose Marie Beddard on January 28, 1960, who survives. He worked as a supervisor at Flanders Filters and Bonnie Products, both of Washington. Mr. Main was a member of Tau Tribe #18 Improved Order of Red Men and a member of Washington Moose Lodge #1800.
Mr. Main is survived by his wife: Rose of the home; two sons: Mark Main and Harry Main and his wife Crystal, all of Washington; two daughters: Donna M. Sermons and her husband William of Walstonburg and Sabrina M. Yelverton and her husband Jeff of Washington; a sister: Helen Gibson of Clayton; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Main was predeceased by two brothers: William Main and Wallace Main and two sisters: Jeanette Fisher and Ruth Clark.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
