Gwyndolyn Dicksey Towles, age 82, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., died on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Myrtle Beach Estates.

Born in Wilmington, N.C, Gwyndolyn was a daughter of the late George L. and Nell W. Dicksey. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Beaufort, NC and active in the Beaufort Historical Society and Friends of Ft. Macon. She was also active in church work throughout her life.

Survivors include her son John Towles (Kim) of Raleigh, NC; daughters Nell Boyd (John) of Garden City, SC, Beth Kingery (John) of Atlanta, GA, Leslie Towles of Raleigh, NC; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Gwyndolyn was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Chowning Towles.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Beaufort, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at 1535 Front St. Beaufort, NC.
