Jenny Catherine Oldham and John Marshall Fowle, Junior, both of Apex, were united in marriage on Saturday, August 24 at 6:00 p.m. at The State Club in Raleigh.  Dr. Jeff Clark of First Baptist Church in Sanford officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert R. Oldham, Jr. of Sanford.  She is the granddaughter of Mr. Palmer G. Pattishall and the late Mrs. P.G.
Pattishall, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert R.
Oldham, all of Sanford.  She graduated from North Carolina State University and is employed with Wake County Schools.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Fowle.  He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bienes and Mrs. Samuel Fowle III, and the late Mr. Colon McLean and the late Mr. Samuel Fowle, III, all of Washington.   He graduated from North Carolina State University and is employed with The Lord Corporation.

Escorted by her father, Herbie Oldham, the bride wore a custom-designed gown from Modern Trousseau.  The Thai silk fit and flare gown featured a
delicate petal organza detail at the sweetheart neckline and was ruched from the bodice down.  She wore a chapel length veil that was dusted with Chantilly lace.  Her hand-tied bouquet of white roses and miniature white hydrangeas was wrapped with lace from her grandmother’s dress and secured with a sequined broach.

Matron of honor was Leigh Atkins.

Maid of honor was Celia Foushee.

Bridesmaids were Mary Margaret Fowle, sister of the groom; Emily Hollar, cousin of the bride; and
Rebecca Vizzi.  Margaret Zimmerman served as flower girl.

Best man was John Fowle, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Hardy Andrews, Cameron
Atkins, Peter Miars, and Will Whitley.

Ushers were Thomas Alligood, Jeffrey Boyd, Fred Friedman, Zachary Swanner, Samuel Taylor, and Josh Ware.  Cortlan McLean was ring bearer.

Ceremony reader was David Yopp.

Guest registry attendants were Molly Smith and Rachel Vernon.

Program attendants were Kana and Jada Parker.

Wedding music was provided by Debra White, violinist; Ueli Schweitzer, violinist;  Morgan Brewer, violist; and Elisabeth Crandell, cellist.  Bill and
Kenya Snider were vocalists.

The wedding was directed by Joy Edwards.

A reception hosted by the parents of the bride was held at The State Club.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Caffé Luna in Raleigh.

Following a honeymoon trip to Antigua, the
couple will reside in Apex.
