MONSANTO COMPANY | CONTRIBUTED COUNTING CORN: Pantego farmer C.E. Manning Jr. was recognized at the 2014 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas as a national winner in the 2013 Dekalb Yield Chasers Contest. Manning was one of the top-yielding competitors — 264.9 bushels per acre — in the nation, competing with close to 9,000 peers to raise the most corn per acre. The contest, in its 49th year, challenges farmers to achieve record-setting yields as part of its search for methods that will help farmers everywhere.
