Gerald Bernard “Jerry” Roop, Jr.
June 11, 1970 – June 21, 2014

Gerald Bernard “Jerry” Roop, Jr., age 44, a resident of Washington, NC, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at his home.  There will be a private celebration of his life in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service officiated by Pastor David Pooser.

Jerry was born on June 11, 1970, in Beaufort County, NC, son of the late Gerald Bernard Roop and Gladys Swanner.  He lived his entire life in Beaufort County. Jerry loved computers.  Jerry is survived by his Aunt, Betty Boyd of Chocowinity and his Uncle, Adolph Sadler of Chocowinity; his brother, Troy Lee Buck of Washington; his sister, Theresia Roop “Reesy” Neff of York, PA; and his step-father, Linwood “Nelson” Swanner of Pinetown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to American Diabetes Association, 2418 Blue Ridge Parkway, Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27607.
