GREENVILLE — The Northside cross-country team left its mark on the competition during the Bo Run at Boyd Lee Park in Greenville over the weekend.

Teams from across eastern North Carolina came together to have a chance of winning one of the top-three-team trophies or top-25 individual awards. Northside Lady Panther Savannah Bunn and teammate Holden Newman were able to finish in the winners’ circle at the end of the competition.

Savannah achieved the goal she established for herself with a 10th-place finish, while stopping the clock at 24 minutes and 34 seconds. Teammate Holden Newman tipped the scales in his favor with a fourth-place overall finish and a time of 18:51. Holden improved his overall performance from last year’s race during the Bo Run, moving up from 12th place. Northside had five runners that established personal records for the season: Dillon Cooke, Jonah Jordan, Trey Pippin, Hayden Tankard and Bethany Smith.

The Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Lejeune High School in Jacksonville. The race will begin at 4 p.m.
