Hildred Louise Watson Bowens, 84, of 313 Second St., Roper, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at her home. The family will receive friends Friday, July 24, 2015, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Union Chapel Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 111 June St., Roper, and other times at the home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 2 p.m at Eastern North Carolina and Virginia Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Assembly Headquarters, 111 June St., Roper. Burial will follow at Bowens Family Cemetery of Roper. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service Inc., 300 W. Buncombe St., Roper.
