DURHAM — Karl Edward Kost, 42, of 4402-C Emerald Forest Drive, died Saturday, November 10, 2007, from injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident. Karl was born in Wake County on July 2, 1965, to Robert William Kost and Patricia Ann Davenport Kost. Karl worked most of his adult life in commercial building projects. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School in 1983 and received two degrees from Pitt Community College. Karl was a volunteer junior firefighter with the Plymouth Fire Department.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2007, at First Baptist Church, 309 Washington Street, Plymouth, NC 27962 with the Reverend Jimmy Hagwood officiating.
Surviving are his son, Jackson Aaron “Jack” Kost of Durham; his mother, Patricia Ann Davenport Kost of Plymouth; mother of their son Jack, Nancy Dobson Kost of Durham; his sister, Anne Kost Turlington of Lillington; his nephew, Josh Waters and his niece, Taylor Waters.
The family has asked that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to a trust fund for his 6-year-old son, Jack, c/o your local State Employees Credit Union.
