Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for more information with regard to the animals appearing in Pets of the Week may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter during business hours or by emailing animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use the animal’s ID number.

Please note, the shelter is closed on the first Wednesday of each month for cleaning and maintenance.

Friendly, sweet and approximately 4 months old, our medium-size Shepard-mix girl is pretty in her butterscotch-tan shorthair coat with white accents. Crissy’s personality is loving and playful, and she will do best with an equally loving and attentive family with owner(s) willing to give her obedience training, plenty of exercise in a, preferably, fenced area or on a leash and a good forever home.
