Alma Louise Cope Draper

Mrs. Alma Louise Cope Draper, age 91, a resident of Pinetown, died Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Ridgewood Manor.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Five Points Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor David Young. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Draper was born in Carlinville, Illinois, on June 18, 1927, daughter of the late Claude Earl Cope and Frances Margaret Heinkel Cope. On June 9, 1984, she married Harold A. Draper, Jr. who preceded her in death on June 15, 2013. She was a homemaker, a member of Five Points FWB Church and the Pinetown Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by her two grandsons, Christopher Thomas Gimlin, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Reggie Lee Gimlin, of Tega Cay, South Carolina; her great-granddaughter, Vivian Lee Gimlin, of Tega Cay, South Carolina; her stepson, Stephen Mark Draper-Leslie of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; and her stepdaughter, Cindy Meyer of Columbia, Maryland. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Thomas L. Gimlin, Jr. and Gloria Sue Gimlin; her brother, Carl Cope; and her stepdaughter, Patricia Ferguson.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
