Ms. Aurelia “Lynn” Dance, age 71, a resident of Washington, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Travis Boyd. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Burial in Halifax Memorial Gardens in South Boston, Virginia, will be at a later date.

Lynn was born in South Boston, Virginia, on May 2, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Frank Elbert Dance and Doreen Marguerite Edwards Dance. Lynn graduated from Halifax County High School and later earned an associate degree in business in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to moving to North Carolina, she worked with Burlington Industries in Virginia. Lynn retired from the banking industry after working for several banks in the Washington area. She attended Wanoca Presbyterian Church.

Lynn is survived by her sister, Karen Dance Heggie and her husband, Skip, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. She was the love of their lives. Lynn adored her family as she did her furry friends.
