Clarence Franklin “Bing” Crosby, Jr.

Mr. Clarence Franklin “Bing” Crosby, Jr., age 87, a resident of Washington, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Crosby was born in Floral Park, Long Island, New York, on April 22, 1932, to the late Clarence Franklin Crosby and Edna Louise Krack Crosby. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Claudette Sue Ware Crosby, and his sister, Edna L. Rogers, of Orange, California. He is survived by his two loving children, William Scott Crosby, of Huntington, Long Island, New York, and Donna Jane Gargaro, of Washington; his three grandchildren, Noelle and fiancé Joseph Moore, Lauren Gargaro, both of Washington, and Amelia Crosby, of Huntington, Long Island.

He graduated from Sewanhaka High School, Floral Park, in 1950 and Davis and Elkins College, Elkins, West Virginia in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was drafted Aug. 10, 1955, into the Army-3rd Armored Division serving in Hanau, Germany. He was a charter member and Master Councilor of Nassau Chapter — Order of DeMolay in Floral Park.

His hobbies include equestrian activities, member of the board and worker for Long Island Riding for the Handicapped; he also enjoyed swimming. He worked for Grumman Aerospace Corporation as a subcontract administrator and various other positions for 33 years.

The family has requested that there will be no services.
