Mrs. Denise Swain Johnson, 54, of 1557 Cherry Laurel Drive, Raleigh, died Oct. 26, 2019, at Rex Hospital, Raleigh. A funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Eastern North Carolina Assembly in Roper, with Bishop Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial followed in the Chesson family cemetery. The family received friends Sunday at Toodle’s Chapel and other times at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ida Swain, 10074 N.C. Highway 32 North, Roper. Arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home, Plymouth.
