It is very important that our youth learn community service and civic responsibility early in life. Three such individuals participated in the Beaufort County Habitat for Humanity 5K Home Run event in Cypress Landing. Not only were these young people winners in the race but, they are also destined to be winners in life. Congratulations to Hailey Broadwell and Jessica Conner, both students at P.S. Jones in Washington, and Christopher Bonner, a student at G.R. Whitfield in Grimesland.

Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers that made this event possible. Proceeds from the event will go to support building an affordable home for a qualified family in Beaufort County.
