Pets of the Week: Nov. 16, 2019

The Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility is closed over the weekend in observance of Thanksgiving. The shelter will reopen again at 1 p.m. Monday.

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for more information with regard to the animals appearing in Pets of the Week may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter during business hours or by emailing animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use the animal’s ID number.

Please note, the shelter is closed on the first Wednesday of each month for cleaning and maintenance.

 

Alice

Alice is an adorably beautiful, brown and white, retriever-mix girl, listed as approximately 6 months old. Very sweet, gentle and a bit shy, she will do best with loving, attentive family/owner(s) who will spend time with her, include her in their activities, give her plenty of regular, age-appropriate obedience training, exercise and play in a fenced area or on a leash and, of course, a good forever home. Ember

At approximately 2 years old, Ember, an American shorthair calico with hints of tabby, is beautifully dressed in her striking coat of orange, dark brown-black and white. Affectionate, friendly, lovable and calm, she will be a wonderful and welcome addition in a good, loving forever home.
