PLYMOUTH — Janice Ann Rogerson Modlin, 85, of Plymouth died Friday, November 29, 2019, at her residence in Plymouth surrounded by her loving family.

Born June 29, 1934 in Martin County she was the daughter of the late Grover Rogerson and Maude Lee Holliday Rogerson and was preceded in death by her grandson, William David Steele and son-in-law, Bob Nunnally. Janice was a homemaker and member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church.

Her family includes her husband, William Haywood “Bill” Modlin of Plymouth; daughters, Joyce Modlin Steele and husband Douglas and Harriet Modlin Nunnally both of Plymouth; sister, Peggy R. Whitfield of Hamilton; brothers, Charles Rogerson of Williamston and Lin Rogerson of Carlsbad, CA.; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Leonard Bowers and Reverend Jeff Person officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hope Free Will Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
