Elizabeth Tripp “Beth” Lyles

Elizabeth Tripp “Beth” Lyles, 61, a resident of Henderson, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at her home after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Beaufort County on April 13, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel T. Lyles and Mary Elizabeth Tripp Lyles. Beth was retired from Perry Memorial Library as a Senior Library Assistant where she worked for 31 years, and was a former owner and operator of the Raleigh Road Outdoor Theater. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Henderson.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frank Sossamon and the Rev. John Gupton. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, by Pastor Sylvia Tripp.

She is survived by her brother, Steve Lyles and wife, Paula, of Kittrell; a special friend, Peter Karpanagiotides, of New Hampshire.

The family would like give a special thank you to her loving caregivers, April Loyd, Carolyn Pettaway, Amy Loyd, Pam Edwards and Haresha Henderson.

The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at J. M. White Funeral Home, and other times at her home.
