Mrs. Carolyn Davis Cosentino, age 72, 304 E. 15th St., Washington, passed away on May 8, 2020, at the home of her sister, Yvonne D. Modlin, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

A graveside memorial service was held 2 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2020, at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, officiated by Pastor Daniel Haskett.

Carolyn was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 15, 1947, the daughter of the late George Lloyd Davis Sr. and Lillian Simmons Davis. She graduated from Washington High School in 1966 and married the late Ralph Paul Cosentino on July 16, 1966. Carolyn was a member of Harvest Church. Her entire life was accentuated by love and service to the Lord, her family and her community. Her gentle spirit and demeanor were an inspiration to all who knew her. She excelled in religious studies which culminated in obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Covenant College and Seminary, Greenville, NC.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Paul Cosentino Jr. and wife Melanie and George A. Cosentino and fiancĂ©e Heather Morales; three grandsons, Zachary Cosentino, Ethan Cosentino and Noah Cosentino; one granddaughter, Lauren Cosentino; one step-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lockamy-Wiggins, all of Washington; one brother, Lloyd G. Davis Jr. and wife Debbie, of Washington; two sisters, Yvonne Davis Modlin and husband Ed, of Washington, Brenda Davis Edwards and husband Barry, of Rocky Mount; two “sister” cousins, Patricia R. Leggett and husband Wayne, of Raleigh, Mary R. Boyd and husband Doug of Washington; one very special cousin, Dennis Ricks and wife Marlene, of Smyrna, Tennessee; a special sister-in-law, Dawn Davis Smith and husband Jackie, of Washington; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph P. Cosentino Sr.; two brothers, Jimmy Davis and Robert Davis; and daughter-in-law Melissa Cosentino.
