Mrs. Geraldine Perry Carawan, age 77, a resident of Washington, passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center.

Mrs. Carawan’s wishes were to not have any services.

Mrs. Carawan was born in Beaufort County on May 26, 1943, to the late John “J.D.” Perry and Mary Bell Corey Perry. On Sept. 20, 1970, she married Dennis “Windell” Carawan Jr., who survives. She was a member of Old Ford Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Dennis “Windell” Carawan Jr.; her son, Trent Carawan and wife Amanda, of Washington; her grandson, Tanner Carawan; her sisters, Melba Perry and Juanita Perry Tripp, both of Chocowinity; and her brother, Jimmie Glenn Perry, of Washington. She was preceded in death by her brother, David “Harrell” Perry, and her sister, Ann Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Ford Church of Christ, 6040 U.S. Highway 17 N., Washington, NC 27889.
