Beaufort County recorded 39 new new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, raising the county’s total confirmed cases to 2,084. The county also reported that 45 more individuals had recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total amount of recoveries to 1,729. Seven Beaufort County residents are hospitalized with COVID-19.

As of Wednesday evening, Beaufort County Office of Emergency Services and Beaufort County Health Department knew of 297 active cases of COVID-19 among county residents.

No COVID-19-related deaths were reported Wednesday. Beaufort County’s coronavirus death toll remained at 58.

North Carolina reported 5,273 new cases of COVID-19 as well as 98 coronavirus-related deaths on Wednesday.

As of Wednesday, the eastern North Carolina counties with total confirmed cases included: Bertie, (1,073), Beaufort (2,084), Bladen (1,584), Brunswick (3,714), Carteret (2,252), Camden (235), Chowan (733), Columbus (3,080), Craven (4,080), Currituck (513), Dare (812), Duplin (3,793), Edgecombe (2,924), Gates (294), Greene (1,368), Halifax (2,401), Hertford (1,169), Hyde (217), Jones (331), Lenoir (2,735), Martin (1,079), New Hanover (8,373), Northampton (939), Onslow (7,319), Pamlico (476), Pasquotank (1,356), Pender (2,329), Perquimans (423), Pitt (9,674) Sampson (4,287), Tyrrell (159), Washington (371), Wayne (6,689) and Wilson (4,819). Mecklenburg (53,076), Wake (36,126), Guilford (20,878), Forsyth (17,224) and Durham (13,066) counties had the most cases.
