Audrey G. Edwards, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord March 24, 2008. She was born in Washington, N.C. on August 5, 1923 and was the widow of William J. Edwards, Jr. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and touched many lives through her Christian love that exemplified the God she served.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Edwards and wife, Debra; daughter, Cheryl Kenefick; three grandchildren, Tammy Bowen and husband, Adam; Melissa Kenefick and Kyle Edwards; great- grandson, Jonathan Gilbert; brother, James Roberson, Jr. and two sisters, Muriel Gurganus and Glenis Andreoli.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 in Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 7-9 p.m.
