Mrs. Everlee Smaw Mills of 234 Village Circle, died on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at her home.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Beebe Memorial C.M.E. with the Rev. Edward Moultrie officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Mills was born on July 1, 1913. She was the daughter of the late John and the late Emma Smallwood Smaw. She attended Beaufort County Schools. She was married to William Mills, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Beebe Memorial C.M.E. Church, where she was a member of the Stewardess Board, Willing Workers, Helping Hands, senior choir, gospel choir, extravaganza choir and mother of the church.
Survivors include five daughters, Julia Floyd of Paterson, N.J., Marjorie Mills, Geneva Smaw, Mary O’Pharrow and Alice Mills Sadler all of Washington; three sons, Richard Smaw of Washington, James Mills of Chocowinity, Samuel Mills of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Leon Randolph Memorial Chapel and at the home of daughter and son-in-law Donald and Alice Mills Sadler, located at 145 Atkins Drive.
