Mrs. Virginia Williams Hardison, 89, of 106 E. Pitt St., Windsor, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Bertie Memorial Hospital in Windsor.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cashie Baptist Church with the Rev. Reese Blanchett officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Hardison was born in Bertie County on April 18, 1919. She was the daughter of the late G.E. and Maude Leicester Williams. She was married to G.W. Hardison, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Cashie Baptist Church and the WUM.
Survivors include one sister, Vergie W. Leicester of Windsor.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a charity of choice.
