Ms. Carolyn Marie “Tonan” Bunch, 45, a resident of 792 N.C. Highway 33, Tarboro, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Rex Health Care Medical Center, Raleigh.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sandy Point Missionary Baptist Church, Windsor, with the Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Bunch was born in Bertie County on Sept. 11, 1962. She was the daughter of the late Brinkley Bunch Jr. and Mary Lou Speller Bunch, who survives. She was a quality control environmental specialist with the Sara Lee Corp. She was a member of Sandy Point Missionary Baptist Church and the Grace &Truth Community Church in Elizabeth City. She was a graduate of Bertie Senior High School, Edgecombe Community College and Shaw University.
Survivors include a daughter, Tiessheia Williams of Raleigh; two brothers, Thomas Bunch of Murfreesboro and Johnny Bunch of Windsor; four sisters, Jean B. Outlaw, Lucy B. Highsmith, Deloris B. Williams and Deborah B. Williams, all of Windsor and one granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Sandy Point Missionary Baptist Church.
