The Washington Daily News, partnering with the Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce, will hold the Beaufort County Candidate Forum in preparation for the Nov. 6 general election.
The forum will be held Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Beaufort County Community College Building 8 Auditorium. Kellie Harris Hopkins, director of the Beaufort County Board of Elections, will serve as moderator of the event.
Qualified candidates are invited to participate in the public forum, which will feature candidate introductions and question periods.
Featured local races include Senate District 1,  N.C. House of Representatives District 3, N.C. House of Representatives District 6, Beaufort County Board of Commissioners and Beaufort County Board of Education.
