HELPING OTHERS: Chocowinity Primary School’s third-grade classes have undertaken a project benefiting families of sick children this school year. During December, the students collected just over 35 pounds of pop tabs, enough to fund a family’s stay for two nights in the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville. Because of the success of the project, the students have decided to continue collecting the tabs until school ends in June. Local residents interested in helping with the project may drop off their tabs at the CPS office during regular school hours.
