Sherry Wolfe, a local financial advisor earned Capital Investment Group Inc., top annual honor, the President’s Council.

Wolfe, who works from her downtown Washington office on N. Market St., garnered the award, during the company’s yearly summit at Myrtle Beach, S.C., in June.

“Sherry was inducted into the President’s Council, which is our form of recognizing the top producers within Capital Investment Company,” said Aubrey Poe, marketing and trading assistant for Capital Investment Companies. “She was one of 25 honored and the only woman.”

According to the Raleigh-based firm, her membership into The President’s Council is a prestigious honor at Capital Investment Companies.

“She is just a great lady and is wonderful with her clients and they really depend on her,” Poe said. “She is also located within Select Bank and works out of the bank most of the time.”

Wolfe was honored for being among the top financial advisors in the company during 2013.

The President’s Council is the only award given by Capital Investment Company, and Wolfe has garnered the honor many times over the last decade.

“I think I have won it 10 times over the past 11 years with the exception of one year when I was away,” Wolfe said.

The services Wolfe offers includes are, brokerage services, insurance and annuities, along with looking at customer’s portfolios, Poe said.

“I cover a wide territory over eastern North Carolina, which includes the Outer Banks,” Wolfe said. “I have a lot of customers that have been in the business for the last 20 years.”

Capital Investment Companies is one of the largest independent financial services and brokerage firms in the Southeastern US, according to their website. For more information about Capital Investment Group contact Wolfe at 252-317-3500.
