On Sept. 4, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Wise Julius Carter, 37, of 875 Main St., Aurora. Carter’s arrest stemmed investigators conducting controlled purchases of cocaine from Carter. Investigators served Carter with an arrest warrant stemming from one of the controlled purchases. Investigators then conducted a search of Carter’s residence and located marijuana and drug packaging material. Carter was serving a Federal probation sentence at the time of his arrest.

Wise Carter was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carter was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
