S.W. Snowden: Consitution Day

S.W. SNOWDEN | CONTRIBUTED AMERICAN ANTHEM: Constitution Day, Sept. 17, was celebrated by the entire student body at S.W. Snowden. A fully attended assembly with parents and relatives occurred in the school’s gym and included songs, poems and speeches by all grades Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Middle schoolers composed and sang “Constitution Raps,” grades second and below sang “This Land is Your Land,” fourth-grade students composed and read short biographies of the writers of the U.S. Constitution, third graders wrote and recited a poem and fifth graders (wearing student-made tri-corn hats) performed a rap that explained what the Constitution guarantees Americans.
