Parrott Academy seniors participate in a Macabre Poetry Festival

 ARENDELL PARROTT ACADEMY | CONTRIBUTED VERSE AND RHYME: On Oct. 31, Parrott Academy seniors in AP Literature enjoyed a Macabre Poetry Festival marking the Halloween holiday. Each student was assigned an eerie, mysterious, or macabre poem to study. Gathering around an iPad video of a blazing fire or “virtual fireside,” students gave oral readings of the poems and discussed poets’ use of tone and figurative language.
