The Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors presented The Washington Daily News with the Building a Better Beaufort County Award on May 27. This award is voted on by the Chamber Ambassadors and given to a business for their efforts in beautifying the community and making a positive economic impact. The Washington Daily News received this award for their recent renovation of their office on Market Street and their extensive support of the community.
