S.W. Snowden welcomes Southside Fire and EMT Academy

S.W. SNOWDEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FIRE ACADEMY: Southside High School’s Fire and EMT Academy students visited with S.W. Snowden’s middle school students to engage and educate about the program now in its second year. Lead instructor Otis Harrell lead the demonstration that included student testimonials, course of study, gateway examples for employment in the health fields and use of equipment. Academy advantages for students include college tuition savings, networking opportunities, work-based learning, EMT Basic Certification and community service activities.
