Helping get that Gator

Published 12:15 am Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Members of the life skills class at Washington High School donate $350 to the Washington Fire-Rescue-EMS Department’s auxiliary Tuesday. The class raises money by running the Pam Pack Café each month during the school year. The class buys the food, prepares the meals and sells tickets for the meals to WHS faculty members. The auxiliary earmarked the donation to go toward the purchase of a Gator, a small 4x4 utility vehicle that will be used to transport a patient on a stretcher through crowds at events such as Summer Festival or through rough terrain, for the department.
