The trail camera that had previously captured thieves in progress at a Pantego farm was stolen along with copper tubing in another larceny attempt on May 5.

The property owner had put (the camera) up because he had noticed items missing,” said Major Kenneth Watson of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. “The owner wanted to know who was trespassing on his property. A photograph obtained from that camera before it was stolen helped solve that case.”

Hilton Gray Everson III, 36, of Wilkerson Station Road, Pantego, and Amiee Dunn Dail, 37, of Topping Loop Road, Pantego, were each charged with one count each of felony breaking and entering and one count each of larceny after breaking and entering. Dail turned herself in to the Magistrate’s Office on June 25. Everson turned himself in the next day.
