To the Editor,
Let me begin by saying congratulations to the Washington teams recognized in Friday’s paper on their District 6 tournament wins. I did not attend the baseball tournaments, but I was present for the softball tournaments and would like to say that there were some great games played that week.
It was also nice that the paper recognized the 9U Washington All-Stars for their second place finish in the tournaments and their advancement to the state tournaments and I would like to congratulate them as well. I assume there was not enough room to recognize the East Beaufort County 16U Softball All-Stars for their second place finish and their advancement to the state tournaments or the East Beaufort County 8U Softball All-Stars for their second place finish and their invitation to the state tournaments. If I have “jumped the gun” in my assumption and you were planning on putting that in the Saturday paper then I apologize.  Otherwise, I would like to congratulate those two teams on their accomplishments.
