Controlled buys of cocaine orchestrated by Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office drug unit landed a Pantego man in jail on July 21.
Wilbert O’Neal, 31, of 371 N.C. Highway 99 North, Pantego, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, said a press release from the drug unit.
According to a spokesman for the drug unit, O’Neal has a long history of drug arrests, but it was complaints from people in his community that put him on the drug unit’s radar in this case.
O’Neal was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.
